What if the answer to a village's education gap wasn't a new building from the outside, but a new belief from within?What if the best teachers were the ones who already lived there?

This is the reality at Vidya Vriksh Gurukul!

Set in Kheri district, a region facing literacy rates below state and national averages, this school was born from a painful reality: a significant "dropout cliff" that sees many students leave the education system after completing elementary school. For more than a third of their primary-age children, the Gurukul is their only consistent access to education.

Co-founded by the Bhalla, Khurana, and Anand families, and led by educators like Tarini Khurana, the Gurukul is not just a building. It's a promise to change that statistic.

Their model is a quiet revolution: 

1. 𝐇𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐫-𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬: They train educated youth from the village itself to become teachers, creating jobs and ensuring trust from day one. 

2. 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬: Every parent is part of their child's learning journey, breaking down old barriers between home and school. 

3. 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲: The curriculum is built around 6 C's: Collaboration, Communication, Confidence, Content, Critical Thinking, and Creative Innovation. 

4. 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐥: By fostering a space of deep respect and mental health awareness, they are ensuring children don't just learn, they thrive.
